Caregiver Associates / Caretaker
Caregivers help the elderly and disabled with their everyday activities. Assisting the client/patient with all chores such as personal care, medicine administration, and support is part of the job. They do the majority of their work at their clients’ homes.
Responsibilities of the caregiver
- Assuring that the client’s house is structured and set up to meet their needs, and that safety precautions are implemented.
- Personal care assistance, including excretory requirements, washing, grooming, clothing, and feeding.
- Following an appropriate and recommended healthcare plan, which includes exercise support and medication administration.
- Providing support with movement.
- Constantly providing emotional support.
- Changes in health, behavior, and needs must be monitored and reported.
- Transporting or accompanying customers to medical appointments.
